Meet Chris Neilson, DDS
Dr. Neilson loves St. George and is thrilled to
have the opportunity to practice dentistry here. He was raised in Las
Vegas, Nevada, but spent a lot of time visiting his relatives in St.
George. His parents along with many of his relatives have made St.
George and southern Utah their home.
He has three children and he feels
fortunate to be able to raise his family in such a great
place as St. George.
When Dr. Neilson is not busy shaping beautiful smiles, he
loves to mountain bike, water ski, snow ski, and his all time love is
motorcycle riding. Nevertheless, his number one favorite pastime is
spending time with his family in Pine Valley, Utah.
Education
Dr. Neilson is a graduate of Brigham Young University (BYU)
with a major in Zoology. Following graduation from BYU, he
attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University
in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation from dental school, he
earned the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr.
Neilson then worked as a resident dentist at the
University of Utah Hospital, which provided him
significant experience in acute cases.
Professional Experience
Bloomington Dental opened their doors in February of 1998. We have had a
wonderful welcome from the people of Bloomington,
Mesquite, St. George and Southern Utah.
Dr. Neilson advocates ongoing education for himself, his
staff and his patients. All members of the Bloomington
Dental team are encouraged to participate in continuing
education courses to enhance interpersonal skills and
knowledge of dentistry. This helps Bloomington Dental
patients gain a better understanding of their case and the
possible dental treatments.
